Is there a need for a section on matriarchy research?
Literature and documents can be found abundantly all over the world, but a coordinated collection point was lacking. With the creation of the section on matriarchy research in the Cantonal Library and the mediating activities of the MatriArchiv results of research are made public and the history of women can be visualized and with it their culture-creating role.
The view on past and present in a worldwide perspective opens new aspects for the future. The modern matriarchal research with its well-documented models of societies is able to offer future-oriented solutions.
